I'd have to agree with andariego. It is extremely important to understand what is going on in order to know what one's views are. However, it is only through actions that true progress can be made. America wasn't created by people sitting around writing nasty letters to the British government, it was created through that and actions taken by the colonists. The same thing happened in the 1960's and 70's.

get up, stand up ? Marley said the same a few years ago... maybe the idea would be "sit down, read on" that is the only way... you have to understand yourselves to know which direction you're taking....and then, you'll know where to continue your struggle for hope, democracy, justice and the rest

An enlightening video talk was available off a WGBHTV web site via a link from chomsky.info "War and Geopolitics..." given April 9,2006 at an MIT forum but now seems to have vanished from WGBH web site. A very experienced war coorespondent, Robert Fisk (robert-fisk.com), explained how often current war news from Iraq is from "official sources". No area of Iraq is considered safe except in the Baghdad "green zone", the U.S. military occupied zone. Insurgents are led by three ex-Iraqi army generals educated in England and speak English. No interpreter is needed in order to negotiate with them.
